One Platform. Many Applications.

When you are constantly working with new ideas, there is no such thing as a typical analysis. Your financial tools are often designed to be stand-alone, only useful for a particular type of study. As you do more types of studies, you need more analytical tools. Unfortunately, the tools you use are not designed to operate in unison, which inhibits your ability to do creative or complex research.

In contrast, Palantir Finance provides a platform of comprehensive, fully-integrated applications. Each application represents an intuitive financial concept. The applications can be used in tandem to build entirely new research and trading analyses. Palantir's ability to freely combine applications as building blocks enables the platform to extend your creative ability rather than limit you to certain questions.

Many Applications

Palantir Finance applications fill in the entire analysis spectrum, from low-level building blocks that are close to the data, to higher-level concepts like strategies and indicators. Each application is used to produce a distinct type of document, and those documents can be used as inputs in many other applications. You no longer need to spend time finding and fetching data from different sources, and manually exporting results from one application to another.

For example, you can filter all currency spot rates from countries in the G20 into a group. This Instrument Group document now exists in the system and can be used anywhere else in the Palantir platform. Perhaps you want to use your Instrument Group in the Index application to measure the aggregate performance of those currency spot rates over time. You can also create a Date Set document and use it in Index to specify a special set of dates for your Index to rebalance. Then you might want to use your Index document in the Portfolio application to see exactly which currencies (and in what quantities) you bought at each point in time. It takes roughly as long to execute these commands as it does to read about them. The simplicity of generating studies in Palantir allows you to concentrate your time on analysis instead of procedure.
